Bayside Green Neighborhoods

July 30, 2018

Interested at Alley Pond Park? The Bayside Green Neighborhoods program, focused on building a community of volunteer stewards, hold monthly volunteer events on the second Saturday of every month in the community of Bayside, Queens. For their past events volunteers have been in Alley Pond Park removing invasive species, touring woodland wildflowers, and learning about the park’s constructed vernal pools. Their events focus on natural area restoration (including activities like removing invasive species and trail work) and street tree care.

Join them at their next event:

On August 11th we will be meeting at the Alley Pond Park Adventure Course Parking Lot at 9am. Volunteers will work until 12pm removing invasive Japanese knotweed. All tools and gloves will be provided. Registration is required for the event. Below is the registration link: https://www.nycgovparks.org/reg/stewardship/5616
