Interested at Alley Pond Park? The Bayside Green Neighborhoods program, focused on building a community of volunteer stewards, hold monthly volunteer events on the second Saturday of every month in the community of Bayside, Queens. For their past events volunteers have been in Alley Pond Park removing invasive species, touring woodland wildflowers, and learning about the park’s constructed vernal pools. Join us as we run the 4th Annual Long Island Run & Dog Walk on July, 28, 2018. It is a 5k Run & 2 Mile Dog Walk at Old Bethpage Village Restoration (1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, NY 11804). On Saturday, July 14th we would like to invite all of our members to our Annual Alley Pond Striders Picnic in the upper park area of Alley Pond Park. The club will be supplying the BBQ and fixings so show up, bring a treat, and have a good time! The picnic will be held around 10:30am after our Saturday morning run/walk.
